DAY SEVENTEEN

Had to be at work a little early today, so I shifted my eating schedule a little bit.  Again, no morning workout because of the early start.  Planned on doing around the same time as yesterday.

5:00

-1 Large stuffed green pepper
-1 Red pepper shell (no meat)
-1 Cup of sauce
-1/2 Cup (yes, measured) of mashed potatoes

:) Great day with some GREAT food!

DAY SIXTEEN

Got the absolute BEST email I have ever received this morning, my sports bras from Lane Bryant arrived in store today and are ready to pick up.  I was researching online the best supportive sports bra for plus size women and THIS bra was the one to have.  Luckily they were 50% off, and my mom offered to buy me two of them.  Thanks MOM!!! I went ahead and skipped my morning workout time (which I haven't hit in a while now) to wait until I can pick up, and test out my new gear!

8:30

-2 Eggs
-2 Pepper rings
-1 TBSP Spicy salsa

-1 Orange

11:30

-1 Luna bar (Carmel Nut Brownie)
-1 Can Arnold Palmer

1:30

-1 Whole wheat tortilla
-4 TBSP pizza sauce
-1/2 Cup fresh peppers and onions
-1/4 Cup Parmesan cheese
-Fresh cracked peppercorns

-1 1/2 Cup mixed bagged salad
-10 Sprays of THIS dressing

I picked up my new sports bra from the store and I am pleased to announce the girls aren't going ANYwhere!!!!!  :)  Finally some REAL support.  I put it to the ultimate test......a FIRE 45 Class.  My sister came over and we Turbo Fired together!  So fun!  Finished around 4:00.

4:30

-1 Scoop Whey powder
-1 Banana
-8oz. Water
-1/4 Cup crushed ice

Worked a booth at the Civic center tonight and forgot to eat before.  I had to leave early because my oldest son was running a fever and was pretty sick.   I got the boys picked up and home around 8:30...I know it was late, but I was EXTREMELY hungry....I guess I could have had something super light, but I hadn't even broke 1000 calories for the day.

8:30

-1 Cup (the last cup) Curry Beef Stroganoff
-1 Cup Mixed bagged salad
-1 TBSP RWV dressing

Tomorrow is a 20 HIIT class....I am sure that will be super fun! :)  Looking forward to it though.  I have so much energy lately (even more than usual)!  I love it!

DAY FIFTEEN

One week weigh-in results..........258.........Down 6 nasty pounds!  YIPEE!!!

I woke up extremely early this morning because of something that explained my ravenous eating slip last night.  Another YIPEE!  Haha, I won't let "that time of the month" slow me down!  (or cause me to overeat any more than I already do.  And as embarrassing as it is the "binging" really has been controlled so much more than usual) :)

8:30

Quicky Shakshuka

-2 Eggs
-1/2 Cup fresh spicy salsa
-1/2 Cup tomato sauce
-2 TBSP water

-1 Slice whole wheat bread
-1 Cup Lemon ginger tea

Okay, I have a dear friend who works at Gold's Gym.  I went there this morning to get my body fat percentage measured.  It was 41.3%.  That is 1.3% into the Morbidly Obese range....ICK!!! It looks like a healthy range of body fat percentage for women my age is 21-33%.  So my goal is to shoot somewhere in that range! :) I think I will get it measured every 30 days, along with my body measurements.  She is also going to whip up a strength training routine for me.  I feel like I need to be pumping some iron in addition to all the cardio that I am doing.

11:30

-1 TBSP Crunchy peanut butter

Today was a CORE 20 class and a 40 STRETCH class.  I don't think I've worked an AB muscle in....well it has been a long while since I can't remember the last time I did anything to create a burn like I have right now.

1:30

-1 Package tuna
-1 TBSP RWV dressing
-8 baby carrots
-5 Small celery stalks

3:30 rolled around and just wasn't hungry, so I didn't eat.

The boys and I went to the store and picked up some tasty things for dinner.  Actually we picked up things for one of my FAVORITE dishes.  Haluski.  I decided to alter it ever so slightly to make it healthier and honestly, I think I prefer it without the noodles.  :)

5:30

-1 1/2 Cups cabbage and onions
-3 oz. Smoked Turkey sausage

-1 Cup white tea
-1 Orange

Here's what I did....

1/3 head of cabbage shredded.
1 onion sliced
1 TBSP chicken soup base (bullion)
4 TBSP water
1 TBSP I can't believe it's not butter (or butter) :)
Fresh cracked pepper
Smoked Turkey Sausage

In a pan, dissolve the bullion in the 4 TBSPs of water.  Add the onion and pepper and cook for a few min.  Then add the cabbage.  Put the butter in and cook for a few more min.  Add the sausage and serve when sausage is browned and heated through.   Enjoy! :)

After dinner I enjoyed an orange and a movie with my kiddos!  Great day! :)

10:30

-2 Cups Progresso Hearty Tomato soup
-4 oz mozzarella cheese
-1 Slice whole wheat bread

UGGGHHHH, Becky....stop!  Stop eating!!!!!

I did, however, manage to do my workout after that little binge fest...the FIRE 30 class and the 10 Stretch class.  :D

3:30

-1/2 McDouble (we were running errands and my oldest son asked so sweetly for a happy meal!) :)
-2 French fries

-1/2 Luna bar

5:30

-1 Package Creamy Chicken Ramen noodle soup
-5 dashes of hot sauce
-5 oz Extra sharp cheddar cheese
-1 Cup (about) of the noodles Marley and Ilan didn't eat

and why stop there???????

-6 Oreos (hey, no marshmallow fluff this time.....like that makes it okay.)
-1 Cup whole milk for "dipping"......Ilan drank whatever was left.

Yeeeaaah.  I'm not even gonna say anything!

Saturday, December 17, 2011

DAY THIRTEEN

8:30

-1 Cup Progresso Hearty tomato soup (the BEST canned soup I've ever had)
-2 TBSP hummus
-1/2 Cup mixed veggies

11:30

-1 Pack NUT-rition

I snacked on the NUT-rition pack as we walked to the town square to see "Christmas Guy".  My oldest son was quite pleased.....the little guy, not so much. :) They got a candy cane and we walked home....my pedometer at this point in the day read 7,826.  :D

1:30

YUM!

Today on the schedule is the FIRE 55 EZ Class.......oy!  I powered through and was excited when it was time to cool down and stretch!  It is definitely a tough one because of the length, but for the most part the pace is tolerable! I looked like a cherry tomato when I finished the workout.  Guess that's proof that I was REEEEEALLLLYYYY pushing, because I really was.

3:30

-1 Scoop Whey powder
-6 Oz. Water
-6 Ice cubes (blended)

I went to my dear friend's Graduation party tonight, and her husband is the world's Grill King!  He smokes all sorts of meats and the food was to die for.  I told myself that I would just eat one plate and I could put a small portion of whatever I wanted on that one plate. (I also vowed to take a picture and post it on the blog so everyone would see how much I ate.....I was counting on this to motivate me!)

-1/4 Cup Green Bean Casserole
-1/4 Cup barley and mushrooms
-1/2 small twice baked potato (didn't even finish it)
-1 stuffed pork roll (I peeled off the three layers of bacon on the outside and did not eat them)

Beyond what was on my plate, I ate...

-2 butter crackers with a bit of cheese ball
-1 black bean pinwheel (WOAH...sooo good)
-5 baby carrots
-3 small hunks of hawaiian bread dipped in the most amazing spinach dip I have ever had in my life.

I didn't feel stuffed or like I overate.  I just know the appetizers are where I can lose it.  That's where the 10000000s of calories are if you just stand at the table.  But, all in all, I think I did great and I feel great!  Especially after that hour long workout.  On the agenda tomorrow is the FIRE 30 and Stretch 10 class.  Totally doable! :)

At the end of the day my (seriously accurate) pedometer read 11,398 steps....GO ME!

Friday, December 16, 2011

DAY TWELVE

8:30

-1 Slice whole wheat bread

-1 Egg
-1 TSP oil

11:30

-28 almonds

1:30

-1 Cups leftover curry stroganoff
-2 Cups mixed bag salad
-2 TBSP RWV dressing

After my lunch I watched a T.V. show to let my stomach settle and then I did the FIRE 30 Class and the Stretch 10 part.  I know I skipped yesterday but I thought I would just pick up where I left off and not skip the scheduled workout for the day.  Now my rest day will be Thursday.  :)

4:00

-1 Amazing salad (with chicken)
-1 Cup spaghetti with marinara sauce
-TON of parmesan

(basically, I ate my salad and whatever the boys didn't want.......oops! )

I of course had my evening tea and as I type, (7:15) I am still full from my pasta....ugghh!

Got in 10,000 steps easy today so I am officially adjusting my "Daily Goal" to walk 5 miles instead of 3.

Thursday, December 15, 2011

DAY ELEVEN

Did not do my morning workout because I planned on doing it as soon as I got off work....little did I know I was going to be asked to work a few more hours....and I wasn't going to pass those up.  I also had a dinner party to go to after I closed the shop.  So, what I'm trying to say is....I did not do my workout today.  boo.

8:30

-1 Cup Orange juice
-1 Cup frozen berries (blackberries, blueberries, raspberries)
-1 TBSP flax seeds
--1/2 Cup water

That makes for an amazing smoothie....

11:30

-2 Small corn tortillas
-1 oz Sharp Cheddar Cheese
-1 Apple

1:30

-Roast chicken Farm house salad from Arby's
-1 Packet of balsamic vin. dressing

nothing at the usual 3:30 time because I knew I was going to a dinner party. :)

-lots of fresh veg (I brought)
-few red and green tortilla chips with chunky salsa
-2 small bowls of mushroom chili (with a little onion, cheese, and a few oyster crackers)
-1 glass (4 oz) of wine

All that food and no workout.  I was feeling pretty bum, but not bum enough to do a workout at 9pm. ha.

Tuesday, December 13, 2011

DAY NINE

Skipped my usually morning workout time.

8:30

-1 Package of Cranberry Almond oatmeal
-1 Can Arnold Palmer

11:30

-6 slices (of a small thin crust) veggie pizza from Walt's
-peppers and onions with a FEW pieces of sausage
-1/2 Cup Walt's ranch dressing.....yeah.  :)
-20 oz Water no ice, with lemon

I was SO full and figured I would not eat again until dinner.  I ran some errands with the boys and looked at the clock at 1:50 and was STILL feeling full (yes, I won't lie...TOOOOO full.  I way over ate.)

I made a few "healthy" purchases today....
I bought some Target brand Whey protein powder for my after workout recovery drink/snack.  I also bought some new measuring cups, spoons and some compression capris (okay, I bought them to keep my thighs from experiencing the dreaded chafing)   I've been walking so much, sometimes in blue jeans and I was beginning to get the message! I think they were a wise purchase.  :)

Skipped my 3:30 snack because I was still full from my pizza indulgence.  I opted to do my 15 min HIIT workout instead.....

Post Workout*

*You'll notice my bra over my shirt.  Yeah, a HIIT workout has a LOT of jumping and the sports bra wasn't cuttin' it.  On the first 30 second recovery I grabbed "old trusty" and strapped 'em down.  At least they were in place for the rest of the workout!  TMI?  I don't know, but if you're a plus size girl with some plus size "girls" then you know how hard it is to find a sports bra that actually gives some support!  Target/Walmart/Kohl's/Macy's/Sears/Dillards don't think plus size gals workout?? :)

5:30

-1 Cup Curry beef stroganoff
-2 Cups bagged salad mix
-2 TBSP RWV dressing
-1 Cup Green Tea with Mint (some days I don't write it, but I always have tea in the evening)

Daily goals: CHECK CHECK CHECK CHECK  :)

Feeling good today, tomorrow is a rest day and I think my shins will need it.  Hopefully I didn't overdo it with the jumping.  I said I was going to go all out and I did!  I didn't jump as high as I could for this specific reason though.  Here's hopin'!

DAY EIGHT

One week weigh in results:  down 10 pounds!!!!  That's right, even with a few off days I am currently weighing 264.   Yippeeeeee!  I have been feeling great with only minor soreness when I first wake up in the morning, but unless I am sore to the touch, I always push through.  Once you get moving and you get warmed up you're good to go.    :)

I got started early this morning, as I had TONS to do today.  I got accepted into the Massage Therapy program that I wanted and officially registered for my classes.  I had to be at the college at 9, so I started my workout at 7.  I am repeating week 1 from the Turbo Fire schedule.  So, this morning I did the FIRE 30 class along with the Stretch 10.  It blows me away how much my endurance has improved in one weeks time.  Really astounding....and awesome.

8:30

-Banana
-28 Almonds

11:30

-1 Multigrain tortilla
-2 TBST hummus
-1 Roasted red pepper
-Sprinkle of Tony's seasoning

-2 Cups of bagged salad
-2 TBSP of RWV dressing

1:30

-1 Slice of INCREDIBLE garlic bread

3:30

-1 Cup red grapes

5:30

-3/4 Cup Cheesy rice with veggies and smoked turkey sausage
-2 Cups mixed green salad
-1 TBSP Strawberry chardonay dressing

Again, I bundled up the boys and took them to the walking track......It is getting pretty fun because my oldest son will actually push for another lap.  When we get back to where we started he asks to "go around the horn again".  I know it's a baseball term, but we say it all the time not meaning it in the baseball sense.  I think it's because we like when Ham from Toy Story says it.  Am I right Keli?  My son also loves to show everyone on the track how he can "exercise".  It usually goes something like this...."hey lady, watch me exercise" (while he flails his arms and runs as fast as he can).....pretty cute.  I love our daily walks.  Got in over 11,000 steps today! :)

Tomorrow there is a 15 min HIIT class that is sure to please! :)

Sunday, December 11, 2011

DAY SEVEN

Sunday = Funday.  No workout, but food wise I did pretty good.  There really is no reason why I decided not to do anything today.  Well, there is......I AM LAZY.  Tomorrow it's back on track.  Pretty embarrassing that I couldn't even keep it together for a week! HAHA.  I think I will consider last week my "intro week", eeeeeasing into it.  Now it is full on.  Looking forward to weighing myself tomorrow, though I won't get my hopes up too high considering.  :D

Saturday, December 10, 2011

DAY SIX

Today was kind of a bum day.  I was supposed to be in Nashville with my Mom and sisters (and niece) at the Christmas Spectacular show, but due to unforeseen events I was unable to attend.  I decided that I might as well make the most of it if I was going to be stuck in town all day.  I got started early...

Did a FIRE 30 + STRETCH 10 class this morning.  This particular workout is now a breeze, I suppose that's why I won't see it again until next month when it's paired with a SCULPT 30 class.  Haha.  Actually, I think I have decided to repeat week one.  Just to make sure I'm good to go with my endurance.  I think it is a smart move and can't see any reason why I would regret it. :)

8:30

-2 Eggs
-1 Apple
-3 cups salad
-2 TBSP RWV dressing

My dad called and asked to take the boys and myself to lunch so I held off on my 11:30 snack and at 12:00 or so....

-Taco salad fajitas from Tequila's.  (minus the steak....Marley eats that) :)
-1/2 Cup guacamole
-2 Cups chips
-1 Cup salsa

3:30

-28 honey roasted almonds

6:00

-1 chicago hot dog with everything extra sport peppers.  :)
-maybe 6 shoestring fries.

Did great on water and easily passed my 6,000 step mark.  Yipee!

Friday, December 9, 2011

DAY FIVE

8:30
-2 Eggs over easy
-1 Multigrain tortilla
-4 dashes of hot sauce
-1 TBSP of hummus
-1 handful of greens
-1/2 grapefruit

11:30
-28 Honey roasted Almonds
-1/2 grapefruit

1:30
-1 Cup tuna casserole (it's finally gone...)
-3 Cups mixed greens
-2 TBSP Red wine vinaigrette dressing
-8 baby carrots
-1 TBSP hummus

4:00
-5 squares of Papa Murphy's Herbed Chicken Med. deLITE pizza (UGGGHHHH.....)

5:30
-4 Oreo cookies dipped in milk
-1 Cup Marshmallow matey's in a little milk
-5 wildberry Skittles.

Embarassed.  Lost control at 4:00.....Just.  Couldn't.  Stop.  :*(

My stomach is now KILLING me.....and the sad part is it felt bad after the first square of pizza.....blah!
I will NOT let this happen again.  I almost didn't want to post today due to shame, but I am going to be completely honest on this adventure and as humiliating as that is....it is the truth.  That's what I ate.

As for my daily goals.  I DID complete the 55 min workout and the 6000 steps, as well as the water.  Not all bad! :)

Thursday, December 8, 2011

DAY FOUR

Woke up at 7:00 and put on my workout clothes that I had laid out the night before.  Got a good 15 min into the routine before the boys woke up, but they were happy to discover "little crunchies" at the table, ready to go.  What I LOVE about exercising when my kids are watching is when the Fire Sirens start  (a 60-90 second all out intense interval in Turbo Jam/Turbo Fire) Marley knows to send an encouraging word.  As soon as he hears it, he will round the corner to say "Come on mama, you can do it".  Adorable.  After the workout and a shower I ate...

-1 Multigrain tortilla
-1 egg over easy with a few dashes of hot sauce
-1/2 Cup cottage cheese sprinkled with Tony's

For my 11:30 snack I had...

-1 Banana
-1 Can of Arnold Palmer (best.  drink.  ever.)

My lunch looked a little something like this, toasted to perfection in a 425 degree oven...

-1 slice pizza leftover from last right (that's right.....ONE)   Goooooo Becky! :D
-1 cup green tea with mint

After I picked the boys up from daycare we went to the track to get some mileage in (and play at the park of course!) and we all snacked on some "Nut-rition" packs that I scored for 99 cents a box.  I also snagged 6 cans of almonds for 99 cents each.....can't beat that!

When we got home I finished some cleaning and heated dinner.  Around 5:30 I ate...

-1 Cup leftover Tuna casserole (even better leftover and re-heated)
-3 Cups mixed green salad with 1/4 vidalia onion and one clementine
-2 TBSP red wine vinaigrette dressing

Around 6:00pm I looked at my pedometer and it read 11,875.  YIPEE!  That was a normal day and only two laps at the walking track.  Pretty decent I would say.

Another AMAZING day of feeling great!  Tomorrow is a 55 min FIRE EZ class......somehow I don't think that EZ means easy.....

Wednesday, December 7, 2011

DAY THREE

This morning for breakfast I heated up some leftover curry vegetable soup that I made last week.  Basically I threw in all my "getting ready to go bad" veggies in a pot, some vegetable stock and lots of curry.  After it simmered away for an hour or so, I hit it with the immersion blender and a cup or two of whole milk.  Amazing.  I think this soup had onions, celery, carrots, a potato, broccoli, cauliflower, mushrooms, and a few asparagus stalks.  It was pretty tasty.

-1 Cup soup

I had to work today, so I packed a few snacks that would get me through until dinnertime.  Normally I would be home by 2, but I had to take the H.O.A.E at the local community college so I got home right around dinner time.  For my 11:30 snack I had...

-Assorted veggies
-2 TBSP Hummus (No, that is not a typo....I really did measure out 2 tablespoons!)

I skipped my 1:30 meal because I was in the middle of the exam, so at 3:30 I had...

-1 Apple
-2 TBSP crunchy peanut butter

After I picked up the boys, I remembered that my friend had given me a coupon for a free large pizza from Papa Murphy's.  So I ordered a "deLITE" crust with light sauce, extra veggies (onions, peppers, mushrooms, olives, sun dried tomatoes) pineapples, herbs and a sprinkle of feta cheese.   It was fantastic.

-3 slices (3 out of 8 ain't bad......considering I could have easily eaten the entire thing)

I quickly bagged up the leftovers and put them in the refrigerator.  If I had let it sit out any longer I would have eaten more.

As for my daily goals.  I did NOT walk the full 5 miles.  I easily got in three miles before I even got home from work and the three hour exam, but I was lazy and did not hop on the treadmill.  Maybe I'll make up those two miles tomorrow.  Maybe even jog for a few min.  Maybe.   :)

What I'm wearing...

Though I'd post a little about what I'm walking in these days....

These are my new Earth Shoes.  If you have never worn them, you MUST go try some on today.  The negative heel is genius.  I wear these shoes when I walk at the track throughout the snowy/icy season.  These bad boys will get me through the winter and then some.

These are my Vibram Five Finger Shoes.  I have to wear the men's BIKILA style because I have such a wide foot.  They are INCREDIBLE!  I love them, however, I do not love the smell these guys can produce after extensive use.  Lets just say they spend the night airing out on the porch.  :)  On a positive note, they are machine washable.  That always comes in handy.

As of right now, these are the shoes that I am wearing to workout.  Not impressed.  I really don't like conventional "tennis shoes" to begin with.  My feet cramp when I am exercising in these.  I prefer to work out barefoot, but I am worried about the impact on my knees and joints from all the jumping in Turbo Fire so I don these for the deed.  Plus I have hardwood floors, so there is no cushioning whatsoever.   I wish I had a spring floor in my house......

Tuesday, December 6, 2011

DAY TWO

Slept in this morning (for me, 8 is sleeping in....even though I have no where to go, I like to get my stuff done early or I feel like the day has been wasted!) and as soon as I woke up I got breakfast going right away.  I made a quicky version of Shakshuka but was disappointed to realize that I was out of hummus (on the errand list for today).

-1 onion
-Tony Chachera seasoning
-1/2 Cup pasta sauce
-1 egg

I watched the scheduled workout for the day, the "HIIT 15" after I ate so I knew what I would be doing and not lose much time trying to learn the moves......They are all pretty standard Chalene moves and since I am familiar with her I pick it up right way.  A couple hours later I did the workout.  It was intense, but fun. I really pushed but had a hard time with the last 5-8 seconds of each 30 second set.....but I finished.  :)  I, again, did the recommended Stretch 10 class.  I also do yoga, so with my daily (try my hardest) practice I get a good hour of stretching. Around 11:30 I had a snack...

-Activa Selects - French with fruit on the bottom - Yogurt.  (my mom gave it to me....I like yogurt but I wasn't impressed with the limp fruit in it.....I usually will do greek yogurt and add 1/2 cup of frozen berry medley (blueberries, blackberries, raspberries).

We ran some errands and before you knew it, it was time to eat again.  The veggies I had yesterday came in a mini tray, so I saved it and will reuse it to pack my veggies for work.  Today I munched on...

-Assorted veggies
-1/2 Cup roasted red pepper hummus
-1/2 Cup cottage cheese

It's been pretty gloomy lately but I prefer to walk outdoors and especially in this weather.  I love the cool, crisp air.  So, I bundled the boys up (literally, 3 layers under the outerwear, hats gloves, bag balm on the cheeks, the works) and we walked.  We only got in a couple of miles before it started to mist, and mist plus cold air is no fun for anyone.  :)

My bundled walking buddies

I started dinner around 5, after our little nap.  I made a spicy, cheesy tuna casserole with sweet corn.  While that was in the oven I had some...

-Peppers, carrots, cauliflower
-1/2 Cup Hummus

Then for dinner it was...

-2 Cups tuna casserole with sweet corn (started with one, ended up getting more...uuggghhh!)
-Water

Today was another great day!  I felt good all day.  Here is where I am going to run into trouble though....I LOVE hummus.  LOVE it.  So much so that I could plow through 1-2 cups in one sitting.  So this 2 TBSP serving suggestion is pretty difficult.  I go ahead and up it to half a cup.  I'm going to try to make sure I only eat it once a day.  Once I taste it, I have to have mooooooore.  :)  Self control Becky, self control.

Tomorrow is a recommended REST DAY on the Turbo Fire schedule so I will just up my walking to 5 miles. I'm looking forward to the rest day.  I think the mild soreness that I have should be all cleared up by Thursday's Fire 30 class.  I will probably be making some adjustments to my "daily goals", like hitting 10,000 steps (or 5 miles) instead of 6,000 (or 3 miles). I haven't altered my usual schedule and I always get more than 6,000 steps.  Also, I think I will follow this eating schedule instead of eating every 3 hours.  It really seems to work for me and I feel full and satisfied all day.

8:30 - Breakfast
11:30 - Snack
1:30 - Lunch
3:30 - Snack
5:30 - Dinner

I like giving myself the three hour in between breakfast and morning snack.  I will usually get the workout in an hour after breakfast (if not before) so I feel hungry right after and can recover with a healthy snack, like veggies or chocolate milk.  :)  I also like not eating after 6:00pm.  We are usually in bed sleeping by 8:00 so it works out pretty good.

Wishing you a happy, healthy evening!

Oh!  I almost forgot....at some point in the day I did sneak ONE leftover gnocchi! :)

DAY ONE

Post Workout
(sweat literally pouring down my face)

Woke up and got dressed for my first Turbo Fire workout.  Pressed play and 13 min into the 30min. workout a couple Mediacom guys knocked on the door to install my phone line.  (Totally forgot about that!)  So, I decided to make breakfast for the boys and myself while they were working (8:30).

-1 Scrambled egg
-1 Orange pepper (cooked for 3 min in a few mists of non-stick cooking spray)
-Tony Chachera seasoning sprinkled on pepper.
-Water

After they left, I started the workout again and did the full 30 min. plus the Stretch 10 class.  I modified the workout only to the extent of jumping.....I didn't  do any of the fancy jumping they do, but I would leap and hop.  Other than that, I made it through with a smile on my face.  It really is a FUN, FAST workout!

Around 11:30 I had a snack.

-2 TBSP Crunchy peanut butter
-1 Michigan apple

Needed to run some errands so I bundled the kids up and we set out for the day.  We went winter boot shopping.  I got lucky at the first store and found mine.....6 stores later I found my sons.  Anyhow, at 2:00 we ate lunch at McDonald's.  The boys split a small fry and a cheeseburger, and I had:

-Southwest Salad with Grilled Chicken (no cheese, no dressing)
-Water

I felt full and satisfied until around 5:30, so I made dinner...

-2 cups veggies (raw broccoli, raw carrots, cherry tomatos)
-2 TBSP ranch veggie dip
-1 Cup potato gnocchi
-4 TBSP pesto

All in all I think today went GREAT! Looking forward to the workout tomorrow and I will report any soreness! :)

As for my DAILY GOALS.......

-96oz. Water: CHECK
-6,000 Steps:  CHECK
-Eat every 3 hours (more like 2 today): CHECK
-Stretch:  CHECK
-Walk on Treadmill if watching TV:  NO (I watched the new Hell on Wheels that I recorded yesterday right after my workout and stretching) :)

Where I am, where I've been, and where I'm headed...

Here I am.  Nearing the end of 2011 and weighing in at almost 300 pounds.  These are a few pictures from recent days.  The funny thing is, the only time I "feel" fat is when I see pictures of myself.  When I look in the mirror I don't see myself as large as I actually am.  I am happy, flexible, and have tons of energy, so I guess it's my eyes playing tricks on me.  This is about to change.  I am going to force my eyes to see what I actually am, what I have become.  274 pounds.  BLAH!

Jump back.....back to before I got married and had children I was a solid 185 pounds.  I was a competitive gymnast growing up as well as a competitive swimmer.  I had always been fit and never had to try to manage my weight.  When I quit gymnastics before going into high school I leveled off at 185 and have maintained that weight for years, until I became pregnant with my first son in 2007.  At 185 pounds I felt amazing.  I loved that I had curves and that I was extremely strong (even have a few weightlifting records at the high school).  Here are a few pictures before my weight gain......

I am currently 274 with a goal of 185 pounds.  That means a loss of 89 pounds.  I am giving myself ONE YEAR to remove these 89 pounds of fat.  One year.  You hear that fat?  ONE YEAR!!!!!  I hope you join me on my weight loss journey.  Please email for questions, comments, or just an encouraging word! :)

The plan...

Tomorrow, December 5th, 2011 is my START DATE!  I will be doing the Turbo Fire program (I have done Turbo Jam, and LOVED it) along with some "Daily Goals" like:

-Drink H2O (I average around 96 oz. a day)
-Walk 6,000 steps (roughly 3 miles)
-Walk on treadmill if watching a TV show
-Eat every 3 hours (aiming at 300-400 calories per meal, 5 times a day)
-Stretch

It looks like the first Turbo Fire workout on the schedule provided by Beachbody is the "Fire 30 class + Stretch 10 class".   For me the BEST time to workout is first thing in the morning.  Sometimes that gets tricky when the boys (3.5 and 19 months) wake up and wander in the living room for morning snuggles.  I hate to stop exercising but there is NO way I'm turning down some snugglin'!  I will try to have their "little crunchies" (Multigrain Cheerios) ready to go on the couch so they can munch away watch me jump around.  My oldest will usually join in and it is pretty darn cute.

Now, I'm going to root around and post my MOTIVATION PICTURES.  I printed off several of the "best" ones to keep on the refrigerator.  :)

I'm here, I'm heavy, and I'm ready to work out....
